Who is Mark Zuckerberg Mark Zuckerberg is an amazing programmer who invented and owns the popular social media website Facebook. Mark was born in may of 1984, his skills were recognized very early in his career so he went to the preparatory school in New Hampshire. During high school years Mark invented a program called Synpase which is an early version of the music software Pandora. Companies such as AOL and Microsoft wanted to buy his program and hire him before finishing high school but he declined their offers. After graduating high school he enrolled at Harvard University. During University with his friends Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Eduardo Saverin he created the social media website called Facebook.

What is Facebook At first Facebook was just a small website that the group of friends ran out of their dorm room, that only Harvard Students mainly used. In June 2004 Mark dropped out of college and moved to Palo Alto California to fully devote himself to Facebook. He then granted access to other schools, high schools, colleges and other international schools skyrocketing the amount of users to 1 million. After that he gave access to almost every area with internet access, by the end of 2005 he had 5.5 million users and it just kept growing after that. He then got offers from Yahoo but he declined them because he didn't want to sell out his product. Currently Facebook has 1.19 Billion monthly users, 874 million mobile users and 728 million daily users.

He also donated 100 million dollars of his money to save the failing Newark school program chain. In 2012 he purchased the other social media website known as Instagram. He holds more than a quarter of Facebook's stock and he has 57% control of voting shares. In 2013 Facebook made the fortune 500 list, making Mark the youngest CEO on the list.
